Head to Head: Men's Shot Put

Two stars from the States go head to head in the men's shot put in Shanghai tomorrow. We pitted Joe Kovacs and Ryan Whiting against each other in the battle of the stats.

Kovacs is the Diamond Trophy holder, having pipped German David Storl to the line in a thrilling battle in last year's Diamond Race. His victory crowned a fine season in which the 26 year old also became world champion after beating Storl in Beijing.

Whiting won the Diamond Race back in 2013, and won silver in the world championships that same year. The 29 year old will be hoping to inflict some early damage upon his compatriot's Diamond Trophy defence in Shanghai.
